As Poe Elementary friends and family, we are fortunate to be part of such an extraordinary community. The continued support of families like yours is what makes Poe what it is today. To remain extraordinary, Poe depends on support from the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to continue programs, sponsor events, and purchase items that are not (or are no longer) funded by HISD. You are invited to join the PTO and be part of the effort to provide Poe students with a strong foundation for learning and success. Your membership will make Poe Elementary a better place for our children to learn and grow. All parents are encouraged to attend monthly meetings and serve as volunteers. If you are unable to attend a meeting, you may find minutes posted on the PTO website. When you become a PTO member, you have the voting power to affect change. Some examples of how PTO funds have been allocated in the past include facilities maintenance, landscaping, smart boards and computers, library improvements, and instructional materials.

You are invited to join the Poe PTO! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to enrich the education and lives of our students, teachers and administrators. Our PTO is known for a longstanding partnership of families, school administration, teachers and students promoting a strong foundation for learning and success.

The Poe PTO provides volunteers and financial support for educational programs, field trips, career week, technology upgrades, campus improvement projects and preservation of our historic building.
